Intended for the pharaohs, it was a way of asserting superiority over others. It was not designed to be comfortable.Deprived of a chair, the audience has no choice but to remain standing or make do with the floor. Opposite him, a man dressed in white sits on a 'designer chair' with only two legs on the same side. There's a right way to use this chair, and this man knows it.The man in white begins a speech whose theme revolves around him and his chair: "In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king. It was this observation that gave me the idea of using this little-used material. One way of recycling tyres is to grind them into rubber shavings and compact them with resin to mould objects. Using this material, objects have been created to secure bicycles in the city. It can be attached to existing installations such as lampposts and signposts.. LL RACK is a system of 3 modules that can be adapted to different post diameters to create bicycle parking spaces on existing urban installations. It is a statement that is quite relevant to industrial design. On the other hand, form can sometimes also determine function in a process of reverse exploration. During the workshop with Philippe Malouin, students were encouraged to look for new functions inspired by forms found in a metal recycling center. Invited by the Musée des Arts Décoratifs et du Design de Bordeaux (madd-bordeaux), second-year Bachelor of Industrial Design students at ECAL, under the guidance of designers Erwan Bouroullec and Adrien Rovero, have given form to their observations and questions about the current agricultural landscape. "Real Facts" is a collection of neophyte points of view on current agriculture, through the prism of design. This project was created at the initiative of Constance Rubini, director of the madd-bordeaux, on the occasion of the exhibition "Paysans designers, un art du vivant" at the Musée des Arts décoratifs et du Design de Bordeaux (madd-bordeaux) presented from 14 July 2021 to 17 January 2022.
